Minki’s actually friends with a lot of trainees! Mnet never shows it so fans dig through each episode for their little interactions. He has a really playful extra sense of humor that really clicks with a lot of the younger trainees.
Regarding the bunny pose, Minki first did it in the visual ranking segment, He’s friendly with Jinyoung (who he met through Daehwi I think) and is on the same team as him and Jihoon so it probably spread there.
They even added it to the choreo for Oh Little Girl, according to fan accounts :’)
I think he got close to Daehwi during PWF and that’s how he got close to Baejin. Here he is having fun with Daehwi and Jinyoung in the background:

Minki got close to a lot of younger trainees, actually. So much that one of them Yongjin wrote a huge letter about Minki, thanking him for being so kind to him and asking people to vote for him
